This shrine was founded in 1627.
(almost 400 years)
Tomioka Hachiman Shrine is also known as
the birthplace of Kanjin-zumō, founded in 1684,
and the origin of the current professional sumo.
(I didn’t know that.)
I couldn’t take a photo because inside the shrine is a sacred place.
This time is the 34th time.
It is a very traditional event for our group.
